Ellie Carpenter is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defender for both the Australia women's national team, known as the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Matildas">Matildas</a>, and Olympique Lyonnais in the Division 1 Féminine. She is known for her speed, athleticism, and defensive skills.
Carpenter made her debut for the Matildas at the age of 15, becoming the youngest Australian soccer player to ever play at a senior World Cup, when she represented <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Australia">Australia</a> at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. She has since represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
At club level, she has played for Western Sydney Wanderers in the Australian W-League, Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), and Melbourne City, before joining Olympique Lyonnais. She has achieved considerable success at Olympique Lyonnais, winning several <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Division%201%20Féminine">Division 1 Féminine</a> titles and the UEFA Women's Champions League. She is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world.
